The pending sale of the Trib

ericrogers_wp commented yesterday on the pending sale of the Tribune to real estate mogul Sam Zell:

"However, one curious possibility: Sam Zell was already a part-owner of the White Sox, so MLB would have forced him to divest from one of the two teams. He’s already announced that it’s the Cubs that will be sold. But NOT Wrigley Field. Here’s a prediction to chew on: Wrigley Field is going to go condo."

I beg to differ.  Wrigley will not go condo; knowing the bulk of his portfolio.  Zell is not only known for his commercial portfolio (office buildings) but as a landlord for mobile home parks.  So, the site of Wrigley Field has an equal chance of becoming an overpriced trailer park as well as a massive Lakeview office tower.

I wonder what the chichi rich twits in Lakeview would think to trailer trash in their midst...
