Up and running
Apr. 9th, 2006 01:38 amThe G5 is back in business. I decided that rather than have an Apple techie deal with it, go through a ton of bullshit and just get the same amount of space back on the machine, I'd just say fuck it, spend a hundred bucks, and go ahead and buy a larger drive. I figured, "a 160 gig SATA drive shouldn't be more than $100 to $150, so why not?"
It turns out that Fry's had drives on sale. I picked up a 300 gig drive, and only spent $100. I'm being a little more vigilant about backing up in the future though... I don't want a repeat of what happened last weekend. THAT drive is sitting on my table now; not sure what I'll do with it.
In the meantime, I accidentally went through the wrong lane at a toll plaza on the North-South... OOPS! Fortunately there was a thing on the Illinois Tollway site that explains what to do, so all I have to do is get an "oops" envelope at a toll plaza, fill it out and slip a dollar in, and drop it off at another plaza. Simple, effective. That and I need to pay more attention of the lanes!
